Waiting for the NO, the Maybe, or the Yes.
Since several people are thanking me for sharing what this is like, I’m diving in. The emails have been sweet, btw.
What I’m feeling today:
I got up ridiculously early. Early enough to have the hubby do a double take when I shuffled into the kitchen for [...]

My head was up there today.
I took 1, 786 digital photos during my job today, so I’m running behind tonight on home things and need to help the kids study for tests tomorrow.
But I had a hard time concentrating the entire day. My writer friend liked my chapters, contacted her agent, who wanted to see [...]

This commercial cracked me up!
I love the show, Bones! Love it! The plots are beyond interesting, but the characters are simply fantastic–I even love the new therapist. He’s funny.

Came home sick from work and slept nearly four hours. I’m fighting a cold and plan to take tomorrow to rest some more. This one rode in with an unbelievably bad headache. Got pay/work issues happening, too, so things have been a [...]

Do you ever get curious about the searches that bring people to your site? I love reading the search strings that bring readers here, but I’m seriously, seriously curious about the people who type in my name.

So, what is it a writer really wants in an agent?
For me, it’s someone who is comfortable going after the best deals and the right publishers for my work. Someone who knows the business and uh, knows that writers can occasionally be a little strange. Just a little, right? <g>
Believe it or not, I’m shy about things like [...]

Needed a bit more research, too.
Let’s backtrack.
I’ve been going over Rachel’scritiques and wow, is it wonderful seeing my work through someone’s critical eye.
Okay, okay, I’ll be honest, it’s not always wonderful at first. I sometimes have a bit of trouble in the beginning. Especially if there are a lot of comments. This is [...]

This shirt is called “You’re Just a Pervert.”
I moved some things around at the Write Snark and all the Hey Santa designs went on special.
Cafe Press is offering free shipping on orders over 75 bucks through Sunday, so if you feel the need to holiday shop for those writer friends in your life, keep the Snark in mind. [...]

This is the first day that has felt like Autumn. There’s a chill to the air and it smells fresh and cool outside. I’m preparing for a houseful but wanted to step in and wish you all a happy holiday.

I’m still waiting on pics my sister took at my Halloween party, but I found this very excellent one taken by my daughter.
All but one are writers. And yes, one threatened my life should I post, but I think she’s beautiful.
I had a rough week last week. Started out rough with sick kids, [...]

Big ideas that loom…surround. Time to calm the mind, take a deep breath and haul them through the open door of my imagination.
