Had a full weekend and I’m a little tired, but I’m working. The weekend fired me up. So, I’ve been outlining my three Nocturne Bites ideas then tonight I plan to jump back into BOAA–the second in my UF series. I really feel this book is going to flow faster and better than the last [...]

These are the OKRWA Oklahoma Outlaws. Not all–but those there for the hat shot that day. This is the only time you’ll ever see me in a cowboy hat. <g>
If you are in the NW Expressway area today and want to hear info gathered from the RWA National Conference in Dallas, Tx this year, come by [...]

I am going with the Oklahoma Romance Writers to Quartz Mountain Lodge this weekend for a writer’s retreat. I’m excited about both the retreat and the lodge—sounds like a fantastic spot for contemplation and fun.
We are spending the entire day tomorrow learning about worldbuilding and writing from Mel Odom .
The worldbuilding advice I [...]

I recently got in some books and this DVD from Writers Digest Book Club. Scribes is basically a conference on DVD. Shot at the Surrey International Conference in 2003, it has great writing advice and one-on-one interviews with bestselling authors like Diana Gabaldon, Anne Perry, Terry Brooks, John Saul, Jack White and others.
The director spent [...]

I swear, my friend, Gena Showalter, has been kissed by the Cover Gods! You would understand if Blogger would freaking let me post a picture. Aaaagh! Wait… wait… it just might work this time. There! Don’t ever let anyone tell you perseverance doesn’t pay! Whoa. Impressive, sexy and purple. Can’t ask for more than that!

Share the Darkness by Jill Monroe is finally in stores! Jill is a friend and fellow member of the Oklahoma Romance Writers of America.
Here’s a little about this white-hot, romantic story:
Hannah Garrett has always felt safe in the dark. It meant she never had to show people the truth. On the run from a man [...]

Today, I’m just going to share some Christmas party pictures from the Oklahoma Romance Writer’s annual gathering. This year it was at my house. Pictures by Sara Moments of [...]

Victor Vasnetsov. The Magic Carpet. 1880. Oil on canvas. The Art Museum of Nizhniy Novgorod, Nizhniy Novgorod, Russia
For a time, my critique partners and I were having a blast writing haiku poetry. Three lines. Five beats, seven, then five again. It’s a challenging style of poetry that I seriously enjoy. At the time, [...]

Today, I’m all over the place. Just one of those days when there’s a lot going on and the mind is jumping.
And speaking of jumping, life is all about “jumping” obstacles, especially in writing. Problem is, with a lot of writers the biggest ones are themselves. See me raising hand.
So, I say hold your chin [...]

Well, when I agreed to take on my RWA chapter Christmas party in my home, little did I know that a bloodthirsty book frenzy would change this friendly group into backstabbing thieves.
My friend, Betty Sanders, who had number 11 in our Dirty Santa game, drew first blood. She stole and after that, everyone kept stealing [...]
