Quick Hello

Aren’t these great??  I’ve been researching the labrys– the double-headed ax.  It was the weapon of choice for women of Crete.  It has to do with my character and her past, destiny… all that jazz.  There is a scene where things fall into place with her and yeah, it has a little to do with this weapon.  I want these earrings!

But I came upon the coolest jewelry.  http://stores.ebay.com/boxing-pandora

I planned to write more today but my family wants me to go driving around OKC to look at Christmas lights.  I’m feeling a bit under the weather, so I’m taking coffee and refusing to get out of the vehicle. <g>   They are all out there waiting for me.

In the meantime, here is another fantastic artist I found at Deviant Art.  I’m really beginning to love that site.

Take some time to explore the work of Liliana Sanchez.  She’s very good– the prints are reasonable as well.  I’m thinking this one would look fantastic in my office…

About Rinda Elliott

Writer.I love unusual stories and credit growing up in a family of curious life-lovers who moved all over the country. Books and movies full of fantasy, science fiction and romance kept us amused, especially in some of the stranger places. For years, I tried to separate my darker side with my humorous and romantic one. I published short fiction, but things really started happening when I gave in and mixed it up. When not lost in fiction, I love making wine, collecting music, gaming and spending time with my husband and two children. I’m represented by Miriam Kriss of the Irene Goodman Agency.

  1. I really like this one. (I’m going to snag this it for my own scene from a pic.)

Sorry you aren’t feeling well. I hope you get better soon. I want to see you next weekend. 🙂

I adore Minoan art and history. I am really fascinated by their culture. I have a vase that was my grandmothers. No one else in the family really likes it, so I got it. When I look at it, I have always seen two Labrys axes, side by side. No one else sees this, but that’s what I perceive. I admit, the shape is only hinted at, but it’s enough to remind me of Crete.

  3. I could see some 80’s rockers loving those 🙂

…or Lord of the Rings geeks (that includes me).

Oh, you’re gonna write me something from this pic? Cool!

Kelli, you know how much I love Minoan history. The deeper I dig, the more interesting it gets. I’d love to actually go to Crete.

Yeah, I’m a Lord of the Rings geek. And proud of it. And well, I cut my teeth on eighties rock…

    Thanks Betty!

  6. I visited her site and the third pic on the first row is now my desktop background. I’m going to have to order a print. Thanks for the post. 🙂

  7. I love Deviant Art! It’s just a fun place to explore.
