Let’s do it again. I love the creative topics you guys come up with and I really love the challenge of creating a story from them.
So…
(All but one of these books are from my personal library… which one isn’t?–There is no rhyme or reason to my book collection, so this is nothing more than who guesses correctly. <g> Winner gets to pick a writing topic! Oh, I’ll pick the winner on Sunday.)
Writer.I love unusual stories and credit growing up in a family of curious life-lovers who moved all over the country. Books and movies full of fantasy, science fiction and romance kept us amused, especially in some of the stranger places. For years, I tried to separate my darker side with my humorous and romantic one. I published short fiction, but things really started happening when I gave in and mixed it up. When not lost in fiction, I love making wine, collecting music, gaming and spending time with my husband and two children.
I’m represented by Miriam Kriss of the Irene Goodman Agency.
Hi Danne! Welcome to the Snark! I’ve thought about going by Dani since my middle name is Danielle. 🙂
I’m not giving away any hints and will announce the winner on Sunday. And… I suppose there could be mulitiple winners, Rach, depends on how many guess correctly. But, I do love the challenge, so we’ll see how many get it right by Sunday.
I venture to say the Black Hole/Hawking book. The only one I DO have is David Egger’s Heartbreaking Work of Staggering genius, so I hope you also have it. Then, we could do a post on it if you felt so inclined. If, you do in fact, own it.
There are so many people who come here looking for free copies of my books. This is my job. It's how I pay my bills and I work hard. If you like books–any author’s books–please don’t search out the illegal free copies. As a reader, I would like my favorite authors to be able to afford to keep writing. I can’t afford to buy every book I want either, so I wait until I can. Sharing copies of our books hurts us.

Dweller’s First Review!
From Yummy Men and Kick Ass Chicks review blog.
"“Once in a while, I pick up a first book in a new series and, once finished, want to run around the streets of my town and shout “This book was just awesome! Everybody should read this!!” This happens to me once, maybe twice a year. Well guess what? It happened after I finished Dweller on the Threshold by Rinda Elliott. And not only did I want to run through my town telling everyone about it, I wanted to run down the highway and go to the nearest city! This is an excellent urban fantasy debut and I am very excited to tell you guys all about it."
The Full Review
I’m going to guess the Stephen Hawking book.
I’m guessing On Writing Short Stories, but that’s just because several of the others seem too obvious. But I really have no clue. 😉
So, is it the first person to guess correctly, or will there be multiple winners?
I am going to say “The Mayan Prophecies.”

I Have Lived in the Monster
By Sunday or on Sunday? *s* Sorry. Had to say that.
My guess is “A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius.”
“The Writer’s Complete Crime Reference Book”, for the win…
They all look like something you’d read. I’ll guess the last one.
