Time Flies

Going to the first high school football game of the season tonight.  I’ll probably bring along my writing.  I’ve worked on it at night a bit this week, but not as much as I’d like.  I tend to lose focus in football games.  I want to pay attention, but there is a lot of standing around and reformation and well… football.  Heh

I do like going with the family and the hubby’s enthusiasm is fun.  Too bad the hotdogs aren’t good.  At least they weren’t last year.  We have yet to decide whether to eat first or give them another try this year.

Anyway, I usually do pretty well with a notebook up at the back of the bleachers.  At least it isn’t getting dark and cold early yet.

Sorry for the long absence this week.  It’s been a busy one.  It slipped by so fast, I even forgot about the SFAP.  Oops.  I’m going to extend the deadline until the end of next week, so if anyone has been working on a piece for this pic,

You still have time. J

About Rinda Elliott

Writer.I love unusual stories and credit growing up in a family of curious life-lovers who moved all over the country. Books and movies full of fantasy, science fiction and romance kept us amused, especially in some of the stranger places. For years, I tried to separate my darker side with my humorous and romantic one. I published short fiction, but things really started happening when I gave in and mixed it up. When not lost in fiction, I love making wine, collecting music, gaming and spending time with my husband and two children. I’m represented by Miriam Kriss of the Irene Goodman Agency.

Hey love — how’d the game go? We went to our local one as well, and I’ve found my tolerance for sitting with screaming high schoolers isn’t what it once was. Sigh. But hey, we won, so life is good, at least in the Schaefer household *g*.

We won, but like you, I had a hard time with the noise. We sat by the student section and for some reason, we were the opening picked everytime someone wanted to get out. Which was ever two minutes. I usually have fun up until half time and then I’m so tired of sitting on that hard bench and annoyed with all the people who talk loud during marching band–which is why I’m there.

But the hubby had a blast. He loves going. 🙂

ACK! Your font, she is so small!! Almost needed my magnifying glass! What happened?

Glad to see you are still alive. Bleacher/benches at games suck. No matter how ‘fluffy’ my butt gets, those seats never get any softer. On the bright side… it did not rain on you!

I don’t know what’s wrong with the font, but I haven’t been posting becuase it’s all messed up. Working on it now. 🙂
