Monday Poetry Train-Core Revelation

Core Revelation

A lifetime spent
Peeling layers
Of civilization, proper behavior
And inhibition.
She hovers,
Wary of crossing over,
And catching her skin
On the black and jagged edges
Of her imagination.

Don’t forget to take a ride on Rhian’s Monday Poetry Train. 🙂

About Rinda Elliott

Writer.I love unusual stories and credit growing up in a family of curious life-lovers who moved all over the country. Books and movies full of fantasy, science fiction and romance kept us amused, especially in some of the stranger places. For years, I tried to separate my darker side with my humorous and romantic one. I published short fiction, but things really started happening when I gave in and mixed it up. When not lost in fiction, I love making wine, collecting music, gaming and spending time with my husband and two children. I’m represented by Miriam Kriss of the Irene Goodman Agency.

The graphic is awesome, Rinda. But your poem really gives me shivers. Such an internal moment of anticipation captured in ten lines. I really admire your ability to express a lot with few words.

  6. Rinda says:

Thank you. I didn’t know whether to post this one or not because I didn’t give it time to settle for a later rework. Just kind of threw it out there.

    Appreciate all the inspirational words!
