Halloween Decorating

So, we pulled out all the Halloween decorations, took apart the family room and started decorating.  While the hubby and son were strategically placing stuff around the house, the daughter and I were um… doing this.

About Rinda Elliott

Writer.I love unusual stories and credit growing up in a family of curious life-lovers who moved all over the country. Books and movies full of fantasy, science fiction and romance kept us amused, especially in some of the stranger places. For years, I tried to separate my darker side with my humorous and romantic one. I published short fiction, but things really started happening when I gave in and mixed it up. When not lost in fiction, I love making wine, collecting music, gaming and spending time with my husband and two children. I’m represented by Miriam Kriss of the Irene Goodman Agency.

  1. Ha! I think #5 is my favorite. 😉

I’m passing on putting up the cobwebs this year, so all my decorations are up. It was a great, cheery day. I love October…

  2. That’s awesome! reminds me I need to start decorating (or at least to bring the stuff down from the attic for my wife to start decorating – she loves that stuff)

I’m crazy about my daughter. 😉

Heather, in number five, I told her to sing into the candlestick like it was a microphone. She suprised me with a kiss. There were more pics–mostly of her laughing so hard she was falling over.

Strugglingwriter, my husband dragged down a ton of stuff from the attic. We, uh, ended up playing, so it’s spread out all over my living room. I have to get a chapter revised today and I’m having the hardest time ignoring it…

  4. Halloween craziness at Rinda’s house? Nahhhh. Looks like you were having so much fun. Isn’t it great when the kids are as weird as their mom? Oh wait, that’s my kids. Sean, Lauren and I are all going to TrickConTreat. (Bear has guard) It should be a blast! Oh, and I’m reading…aloud! *gulp* “Cabin Painting” and my poem “The Gift”.

BTW, are you skipping the party this year?

Watch out, if you keep having so much Halloween fun, your head’s gonna spin!

  5. Ha! I love it! I need to find a costume… 😉

Yes, Sara, it’s great when they are as weird as we are. It’s the best! Don’t think we’re skipping the party this year–just haven’t had time to work out details.

Thought you’d like these, Rachel. 😉

  7. Celise says:

ROFL. OMG that’s too funny. At first, I thought you were Darth Maul. And then I remembered that Darth Maul’s tongue doesn’t hang down like that. LOL. Thanks for the laff. I needed it.

Well, my daughter says the kiss image is supposed to be scary. Hannible threatening to eat Long-tongued demon thing. But, she looks too sweet to be menacing, eh?

Glad you enjoyed them. My favorite is the second to last. We had to take four of that one since she kept falling over laughing.

  9. Tracey says:

That is a freaky mask–way cool!! I have pulled out the decorations for the house too, but my neighbor, i.e. my sister, has waged decorating war. That’s enough to motivate!

  10. Julia Hinkle says:

Beautiful – two of my greatest loves having fun…..I love you….
