My Bathtub is Magic

water

Michele Smith tagged me with a seven weird fact meme.  I’ve done these a couple of times before here and here.

So, this time, I’m sharing one weird thing.

I believe bathtubs are magic.

I don’t know if I’m just able to truly let life and worries go when in water, or what, but if I’m blocked, all I have to do is fill up the jacuzzi tub. It has a tiled deck around it, so I end up at an awkward angle, writing in a notebook on the side.  But it’s kind of funny when people call and it’s the middle of the day–and there’s an echo…

They ask what I’m doing and I say writing and don’t go into any explanations.  I love speculating on the caller’s speculations.  They probably think I’m in the other part of the bathroom, but I’ll let you in on a little secret.

I don’t answer the phone in there.

About Rinda Elliott

Writer.I love unusual stories and credit growing up in a family of curious life-lovers who moved all over the country. Books and movies full of fantasy, science fiction and romance kept us amused, especially in some of the stranger places. For years, I tried to separate my darker side with my humorous and romantic one. I published short fiction, but things really started happening when I gave in and mixed it up. When not lost in fiction, I love making wine, collecting music, gaming and spending time with my husband and two children. I’m represented by Miriam Kriss of the Irene Goodman Agency.

LOL! You KNOW I do the same thing, but my tub is a clawfoot, so I have to use one of those little cross-tub thingies to write on…

I’m really into baths too..Sum times I spend hours in the tub reading. Haven’t tried writing yet though..

I mostly read in there. It’s bad if I get a good book because I’ll stay until I’m done sometimes.
