New Monday, New Year

I don’t know about you all, but I’m ready for a return to scheduled days.  Kiddos go back to school tomorrow and I’m looking forward to getting the regular routine going.  Getting up  early enough for a 7 a.m. bus?  Sucks.  But, I do soooo much better when I see them off to school, get the workout in, and then go into my office.

With the kiddos home the last two weeks, my office has pretty much been theirs.  Desktop is in there, you see.  I can write on my laptop in other rooms, but I seem to hit my major word counts in the room that’s “supposed” to be all my own.  And yes, the holidays slowed me down a bit.

I made two resolutions.  One with the hubby which was basically us promising to have a more positive attitude through any difficult times this year.  And the one on my own is to be more proactive when it comes to my career.  There are many things I plan to accomplish and I’m ready to dive in as hard and deep as I can.  So, a new Monday in a new year starts tomorrow (or today on this blog since the time is so off) and I have a good feeling about things. 🙂

About Rinda Elliott

Writer.I love unusual stories and credit growing up in a family of curious life-lovers who moved all over the country. Books and movies full of fantasy, science fiction and romance kept us amused, especially in some of the stranger places. For years, I tried to separate my darker side with my humorous and romantic one. I published short fiction, but things really started happening when I gave in and mixed it up. When not lost in fiction, I love making wine, collecting music, gaming and spending time with my husband and two children. I’m represented by Miriam Kriss of the Irene Goodman Agency.
