Break On Through

To the other side!

Had a major, major breakthrough on the WIP last night and wrote for hours.  Then, I was too jazzed to sleep, so I turned on the TV in bed and caught The Bone Collector.  Thought I’d get sleepy since I’ve seen it so many times.  Yeah, right.  I love that movie, so I was up past two, then up at six to get kiddos off to school.

And then it was a race to get errands (Why, oh why were there only two people at registers at the Post Office????  On TAX DAY????)  this morning so I could get back here and work.  I should probably take a nap, but I’m too excited about the scene I’m writing today. Brain is still sharp, so I’m diving in.  I may not come up for air for a few days. My goal to have this sucker polished is the end of this month–possibly a week or so into May.

Oh!  Don’t forget that tonight at midnight is the deadline for the ROD at the Deadline Dames!     Lots of excitement with the Dames the last few weeks with announcements of Keri Arthur’s debut at #6 on the NYT, Jackie Kessler’s new sale… and make sure you check out Rachel Vincent’s new cover.  It’s a beauty!  You can click on all their personal websites to the right under the boots. 😉

About Rinda Elliott

Writer.I love unusual stories and credit growing up in a family of curious life-lovers who moved all over the country. Books and movies full of fantasy, science fiction and romance kept us amused, especially in some of the stranger places. For years, I tried to separate my darker side with my humorous and romantic one. I published short fiction, but things really started happening when I gave in and mixed it up. When not lost in fiction, I love making wine, collecting music, gaming and spending time with my husband and two children. I’m represented by Miriam Kriss of the Irene Goodman Agency.

Some of the movies I watch every time I catch them–off the top of my head:

The Whole Nine Yards (LOVE THIS MOVIE)
    The Day After Tomorrow
    Independence Day
    Practical Magic
    Um… most zombie movies
    Jurassic Park
    The Mummy/The Mummy 2
    Hot Fuzz
    Quigley Down Under
    Okay… Dodgeball
    Little Man Tate
    The Last Mimzy

There are more, but my missing hours of sleep are demanding payback. 😉

    Breakthroughs rock!

I will always watch Jurassic Park if it is on, and most zombie movies, too. I adore Jurassic Park. I have no idea why. 🙂
