What’s Up With Me?

Good stuff and bad stuff, but the spirits are high. 🙂

I’ve been working very hard to change an old completed romantic suspense into a paranormal romantic suspense.  Yes, in addition to my other two projects. But, my husband asked me to pull the old ones back out-that maybe I could polish them up fast and get them out making the rounds.

So, he’s been helping out more around the house while I disappear into worlds I created–ones that are better than I remember them being. (I can be pretty hard on myself. Perfectionism is a pain. <g>)  And well, it helps to keep my mind off a few personal things. The hubby’s extra time does have to do with employment issues unfortunately. He’s being a good sport about all this.

I’m trying myself. The fiction helps so much and I’ve turned over a new “being on submission” leaf. I’m no longer chained to my phone. I’m even turning off my cell phone! If the call comes, it comes. I do have exciting prospects in the works. But everything about this business takes patience. If you’re a new writer, go ahead and accept that now, please.

And you wanna know a secret? Steady workouts go a long way to improving moods.  I had let myself get out of shape and I’m tackling that one 100 percent now. Oh, I feel so much better! I’ve dropped pounds and am feeling more like myself.

Determination + drive + positive attitude= success. 🙂

About Rinda Elliott

Writer.I love unusual stories and credit growing up in a family of curious life-lovers who moved all over the country. Books and movies full of fantasy, science fiction and romance kept us amused, especially in some of the stranger places. For years, I tried to separate my darker side with my humorous and romantic one. I published short fiction, but things really started happening when I gave in and mixed it up. When not lost in fiction, I love making wine, collecting music, gaming and spending time with my husband and two children. I’m represented by Miriam Kriss of the Irene Goodman Agency.

  1. Glad the workouts are giving you a boost. Love the smiling pic of you 🙂

    Good luck with everything.

  2. Love that pic. Waiting is a pain. Hoping no news on AA means someone is reading. So glad you’re feeling good. Missed you at Ink, which was me and Sarah and the wolfman.
