Sometimes, It’s Just For Fun

Yes, the hubs and I have been under the weather. But there is a positive in being struck still for so long. Laptops move with you.

I’m waiting to get a few critiques back on US, so I let my imagination fly on a side project and I’ll be finishing the first draft of it today. I have one scene to flesh out–the outline of it is already done. It’s nothing big, just a fun novella I wrote for me. A challenge, so to speak. I have no idea what I’ll do with it, but all writing helps hone the craft and with this, I needed to have fun. I played with words and did a lot of interesting research.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

This is good. 🙂

About Rinda Elliott

Writer.I love unusual stories and credit growing up in a family of curious life-lovers who moved all over the country. Books and movies full of fantasy, science fiction and romance kept us amused, especially in some of the stranger places. For years, I tried to separate my darker side with my humorous and romantic one. I published short fiction, but things really started happening when I gave in and mixed it up. When not lost in fiction, I love making wine, collecting music, gaming and spending time with my husband and two children. I’m represented by Miriam Kriss of the Irene Goodman Agency.

Ooh, what did you research? I love hearing about all the crazy stuff we writers look up for stories. I just looked up how long people stay in the hospital for a broken ankle 🙂

I looked up heating a chicken coop. Looked up growing herbs and making essential oils. Looked up riot guns…
