Motivation and Air Conditioning

I had the day to write and goofed off the first half but more than made up for it in the second half of the day. One of my characters went dark and oh, it was soooo damned cool.

I’m tempted to keep working, but I just put a chipotle/raspberry pork loin on the grill with some olive oil, garlic and basil seasoned potatoes, carrots, onions and green peppers. My family went to the lake for the day and it’s just not something I am into these days. But they love it, so I hope they had a blast! I’m cooking for them because I remember being starved when I got home from all day at the lake. But I was always too tired to cook, so hopefully this will be a treat for them.

To me, it’s just too hot to be under that sun for so long. Eek. And lately, I’m working pretty hard to get ahead. I’m unbelievably motivated and determined. Luckily, I can do my thing under the air conditioning because I’ve never been so tired of over 100 degrees day after day after day. Anyone know a good rain dance? 😉

About Rinda Elliott

Writer.I love unusual stories and credit growing up in a family of curious life-lovers who moved all over the country. Books and movies full of fantasy, science fiction and romance kept us amused, especially in some of the stranger places. For years, I tried to separate my darker side with my humorous and romantic one. I published short fiction, but things really started happening when I gave in and mixed it up. When not lost in fiction, I love making wine, collecting music, gaming and spending time with my husband and two children. I’m represented by Miriam Kriss of the Irene Goodman Agency.

One Response to Motivation and Air Conditioning

  1. I stayed in air-conditioning this weekend. Didn’t get the writing done because I made the mistake of starting the newest Dresden, Ghost. Big mistake, big. Huge. Didn’t get anything else. His pacing and character development always sucks me right in.
