Pride ARC!

pride-arc

Yes, a couple of you guessed what the special anniversary giveaway was about and you were right! Here’s your chance to read Pride before its release date of February 1st, 2009. 😉

As Rachel Vincent’s  critique partner, I’ve already read this and it’s my favorite of the first three books.  You are definitely in for a treat!

So, to win one of these ARCs, all you have to do is leave a comment.   You have until Friday, December 5th at midnight.  (Oh, and here’s a little tip–Rachel will be giving one away on her blog as well, so you’ll get two tries this week!)

You can read an excerpt of this book here, but check out the blurb!

Here’s hoping cats do have nine lives

I’m on trial for my life. Accused of infecting my human ex-boyfriend—and killing him to cover up the crime. I’m not guilty. But tell that to the panel of Alphas sitting in judgment. Infecting a human is one of three capital offenses recognized by the Pride—along with murder and disclosure of our existence to a human.

I’m two for three. A goner.

On top of that, Marc is in danger of being tossed from the Pride, then we discovered a rogue stray terrorizing the mountainside, hunting a wild teenage tabbycat. I think I can protect her from both the ambitious rogue and the scheming of the territorial council.

If I survive my own trial…

Edit:  I got my copy of the ARC in the mail today.  The dedication made me tear up.  Back at ya, sweetie!

About Rinda Elliott

Writer.I love unusual stories and credit growing up in a family of curious life-lovers who moved all over the country. Books and movies full of fantasy, science fiction and romance kept us amused, especially in some of the stranger places. For years, I tried to separate my darker side with my humorous and romantic one. I published short fiction, but things really started happening when I gave in and mixed it up. When not lost in fiction, I love making wine, collecting music, gaming and spending time with my husband and two children. I’m represented by Miriam Kriss of the Irene Goodman Agency.

  72. relliott4 says:

WOW!!!! And this is just the first day! I’m glad everyone is so excited about Pride. It’s good… and so is Prey! (I’m such a tease!)

A couple have asked about my work. I write urban fantasy among other things. I’m not currently published in book length fiction, but my agent is now marketing my first series, so I’m hopeful I will be soon. You can read more in the Who Am I tab above.

A funny fact for you all– Rachel and I hooked up as critique partners after she gave me a CRAZY topic challenge and I wrote Now They Run From Valen Greer–also in the tabs.

I’m so happy to see you all excited about her next book. 😉

  73. Lori T says:

How fun to be running the contests at the same time. I would love to be entered in the contest. It must be really great being Rachel’s critique partner…how does someone go about becoming critique partners with someone?

  74. Meranda says:

I would love to receive the ARC of Pride. I love this series I’m holding back from reading the excerpt…

  75. Kaitlyn Vega says:

I can’t wait to read the book!

  76. relliott4 says:

Lori T, it depends. The best place to meet potential critique partners is at writer’s meetings. Rachel and I met online first even though we were both members of the Oklahoma Romance Writers. She won a topic challenge, gave me a CRAZY topic and I wrote the Valen Greer piece in the tabs. She asked if I wanted to work with her and that was more than two years ago. We have very intense writing schedules, so it seems to work well with just two of us since it’s a lot of last minute.

I wrote up two guest blogs for her with actual comments from our critique sessions. She posted them a few weeks ago. One is kind of funny and one shows how hard the work can be. 🙂

  77. ashley says:

id luv to get an arc!!!

  109. Rick Wheeler says:

I have read both Stray and Rogue at least 4 times each and loved both books.
I love the way Faythe says it like it is and if you dont’t like it tought s___.
The way you write the stories make me not want to stop reading until I am done.
I was disapointed that Pride delivery date moved from the fall to Febuary but anythig that is this good is worth waiting for. I read the first chapter on your website and can”t wait till she partial shifts in front of them.
