My daughter’s boyfriend introduced us to Kamelot. This is called Ghost Opera. Pretty interesting. It’s a kind of epic rock opera for those who don’t feel like listening to the whole thing. 🙂
Though the style is somewhat different, I was yanked back into Queensryche Fangirl Land. (Possibly the voice? Maybe?)

In my travels today, I found that Geoff Tate made a solo album, so I’m off to explore.
In other new finds, Kelli sent me a link to Black Lab and I simply fell in love with This Night.
I bought the CD off Itunes and there are several good songs, including Weightless.
Then, this week, I also received a postcard from a musician in Virginia I’ve been following. Jessica L. Fenton writes the music for and plays every instrument in her songs. Sings, too.

Okay… have you ever heard of Planet P Project????? Almost everyone knows Why Me… but Pink World was an entire story album and seriously good.
Did you know if you type Pink World into Google, you get porn? The hubby doesn’t understand why I’m surprised about that.
None of the above sound familiar. And Pink World is not on iTunes, so I can’t even refresh my memory.
I hate when I google something innocent that turns up porn WHEN MY KIDS ARE IN THE FREAKING ROOM! Argh.
Planet P had hits in the eighties–one being “Why Me.” You’d recognize it if you heard it. Could hear a clip at Amazon.
Pink World was simply fantastic. A concept album that told the story of the end of the world and a small boy with powers who saves everyone. Tony Carey wrote it and I believe played nearly every intstrument on that CD.
My husband and I bought it on a whim and slipped it in while driving one night. We drove until we listened to the entire thing twice. Ended up eating breakfast out. We later lost it. The year I paid big money for an imported replacement was a good one for us. 🙂
Wow, I looked up Pink World on Amazon and you can’t hear any clips. It came out before I thought. I certainly wasn’t married in 1984. We bought it years after it was released and if you read the reviews, it struck people the same way it did us.
